The Royal Regiment of Canada

"The Royal Regiment of Canada" or "RRC", also known as "The Royal Regiment of Canada", is a light infantry regiment of the "Canadian Forces Primary Reserve" which is stationed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is part of Canada's "32nd Brigade Group" under Land Force Command. It is the largest regiment in the Army's Primary Reserve. Created on March 14, 1862, this regiment is still active today.

This regiment is part, with the "Fusiliers Mont-Royal" and the "Black Watch of Canada" of the landing of Dieppe on August 19, 1942 during the operation "Jubilee" during the second world war where it undergoes, like the two others regiments, heavy casualties.


It also belongs to the Canadian troops who landed in France on the Normandy coast on the beaches of Calvados during Operation "Overlord" and participated in the Battle of Normandy in 1944.


He also took part in the "2nd Canadian Infantry Division" in the operations "Atlantic", "Spring" and "Totalize" for the capture of the town of "Falaise" located in the department of "Calvados" in France.
