THE ROYAL HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY

Description

A natural autumn maple leaf loaded with a silver hunting horn tied vert containing the letters RHLI of gold and crowned with the royal crown natural, all accompanied by a point of two azure listels gold edged inscribed WENTWORTH REGIMENT and SEMPER PARATUS in letters of the same.

Symbolism

The maple leaf represents service to Canada and the crown, service to the sovereign. The origins of the regiment as a light infantry regiment are represented by the hunting horn. "RHLI" and "WENTWORTH REGIMENT" together form a variant of the regiment's name and "SEMPER PARATUS" is its motto.
